Thoughts from the Bible

Don’t give up… Don’t get discouraged… Don’t blame yourself
Dear Friend,

God wants to do a great thing in your life. Do not limit God with your small thinking. Thing bigger, Dream bigger, Have great visions in your life. Live with faith.
The “table fellowship” of Jesus with the tax-collectors and sinners was a great scandal for the elite Pharisees and Scribes. But for these simple people it was a matter of pride to be accepted by a great Teacher like Jesus. In fact, the Pharisees and Scribes were good men, people who gave generous alms and did charitable deeds. But only Jesus could sense the real need of these marginalized people, their hunger for love and acceptance. Some times we too are willing to make sacrifices to help the poor and needy. But to associate with them or being in their company is something difficult for us. The words of Jesus: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice”, is an invitation for us to be people who are merciful at heart. “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy” (Mt. 5:7).
What is faith? Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Faith has something to do with things you hope for,. Today you may not be able to see anything positive, taking place in your life with your natural eyes. You may not be able to see anything promising in your life when you think through your natural reason. On the contrary, everything in your life may be falling apart – your finances, your health, your business, your marriage, and your children. You may be facing all kinds of problems and it doesn’t look as though you will get through. But don’t be discouraged. Don’t give up. Don’t start blaming yourself.
Look into the invisible world, into the supernatural world, into the heavenly promises of God through the eyes of faith. See your situation turning around. See your life being restored. See your joy and peace being restored. God is turning things around in your favour. God is opening a new opportunity for you. God is finishing what he has already started with you. You may not see anything happening with your natural eyes. You must believe that God is at work on your behalf in the unseen world. You will see it as you believe it. Jesus said : Do not let your hearts be troubled, have faith in God and have faith in me (John 14:1).
